CHF Charity Ladies Luncheon "A Beautiful Mind"
CHF Charity Ladies Luncheon "A Beautiful Mind" was successfully held on 19 May 2006 in Aberdeen Marina Club. It was one of the major fundraising events of the year. It aimed to raise HK$150,000 to support the operation of the House of the Heart which provides temporary accommodation for parents of hospitalised children.
The theme is A Beautiful Mind and focuses on the many definitions and interpretations of beauty. Guest of honour Christine Fang, chairperson of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, shared her experience on the subject with 250 guests from the professional and expatriate women community.
One of the event's highlights was a fashion show featuring children who were living with congenital heart disease. Dressed in the latest designer clothes, these boys and girls - some as young as four years old - struted their stuff on the cat walk, showing the spirit and determination that has helped them meet the challenge of being born with a serious heart condition.
