The Heart-to-Heart Charity Walk 2012, the 13th walkathon of the CHF, had completed with a great success on 14 October at the Peak. Over 5,000 participants and 200 volunteers attended the walk with near HK$1.7 Million raised. This breaks the CHF record in term of the number of the participants and the amount of fund raised.

The theme is “Support the Rainbow” which means working together to help children with heart disease leas full, fruitful lives. The thousands participants, on completing the walk along the Peak Morning Trail, created a piece of rainbow artwork with the fingerprints as a support for the hospitalized children and their families.

It was our pleasure to have the Secretary For Food and Health, Dr. Ko Wing-man, the Honorary Patron of the CHF, Mrs. Selina Chow, the Permanent Secretary of Transport & Housing (Housing) cum Dir of Housing, Mr. Duncan Pescod, the Cluster Chief Executive of HK West Cluster and Hospital Chief Executive of Queen Mary Hospital, Dr. C C Luk, Chief of Service of the Department of Pediatric Cardiology of Queen Mary Hospital,Dr. K T Chau and the Chairlady of CHF, Ms. Jenny Cheng, together with various local celebrities to participate in the event, appear on stage and promote children’s heart health.
